In some instances, we use both laser and sclerotherapy to treat spider veins. This has to be done carefully to prevent too much thrombus in the vein after treatment. When done correctly, this technique can lead to rapid resolution of the spider veins.
In this case, we used the Dornier 940 nm laser which has a high affinity for hemoglobin.
